Do you need a mouser?
We always have semi-feral and feral cats that need a barn home. These cats were born outdoors and often have limited human interaction but are no threats to people or kids and make excellent mousers to help keep pests under control. These cats generally are skiddish of people, but with time may warm up to their caretakers and be able to be pet.
We do have a few requirements for our barn homes – please ensure you meet these requirements prior to applying:
- food and fresh water access year round
- a heated shelter of some type (barn, shed, garage, etc)
- a way to contain these cats for 4 weeks initially to ensure they acclimate to their new environment
