Radar Shelley

Date of Birth:  June 12, 2022

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, I’ve done well with cats with proper introductions.
  • Dogs: Unknown, with gentle & low energy dogs I may adjust.
  • Kids: Older & gentle kids would likely be ok, toddlers are a no-go.

Rescue Story: I was surrendered to CCE at the clinic because I had urinary issues and my owners could no longer afford my care. CCE stepped in and got me meds & on a special diet and I have been doing amazing. I am ready for my furrever home!

About Me:   Hi, I’m Radar. 🩶

If you’re looking for a cat who’s equal parts teddy bear, shadow, and professional snuggler… I think we should meet.

I’m a big, handsome grey guy with an even bigger heart. My favourite things in life are soft beds, cozy naps, gentle head scratches, and being close to my people. Every morning, as soon as you wake up, I’ll be right there to collect my mandatory five minutes of cuddles before we start our day together. It’s my favourite routine!

If you work from home, even better! I’ll happily supervise your emails from the comfort of your lap, occasionally reminding you that breaks are important (especially if they involve petting me).

I’m playful when the mood strikes, but I’m mostly a laid-back, easygoing guy who enjoys a calm home where I can truly relax. I purr so easily that sometimes all it takes is a kind word or a gentle scratch under my chin.

I get along well with other cats and would be happy to have a feline friend, but I’d also be perfectly content soaking up all of your attention as your one and only.

I’ve learned that little humans aren’t really my cup of tea. I’d be happiest in a quieter home, or one with older, respectful kids who understand that sometimes a guy just needs a peaceful nap.

Dogs? I’m not entirely sure. I once heard dogs barking on the TV and decided that was enough excitement for one day, so if you have a dog, a slow and careful introduction would be important.

I do have a little maintenance in my routine. I had some urinary issues in the past, but thanks to a calm environment and my prescription food, I’ve been feeling great! I eat Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Chicken Dry Cat Food (about $35 per month), and it keeps me healthy and comfortable. As long as I stick to my special diet, I’m one happy cat.

If your idea of the perfect companion is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle, nap beside you, and quietly fill your home with purrs, then I think my radar has found exactly what it’s been searching for.

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped & partially vaccinated.

Honour Ulta

Date of Birth: March 3, 2023

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, I’m good with other cats given the proper introduction
  • Dogs: Unknown, I would likely do well with dogs after a proper introduction
  • Kids: Yes, I am good with gentle, respectful kids

Rescue Story: I was a part of an animal seizure case where there were many cats in one home that were in poor condition and I had bad teeth. CCE stepped in and got me a much needed dental and now I am ready for my forever home!

About Me: Hello there! My name is Honour, and I am a petite, sleek black cat with a big heart. I might be small in size, but I promise to fill your home with my voice and affection. When it comes to my energy levels, I offer the best of both worlds. During the daytime, I am a high-energy bundle of fun who absolutely loves to play and chase toys. Once nighttime rolls around, I shift into low gear, and my favorite thing to do is curl up right next to you to sleep the night away. I am definitely a lap cat, though I prefer to do things on my own terms; if you let me approach you on my own accord, I will gladly claim your lap as my personal throne.

I have come a very long way since my rescue, and I am incredibly proud of my progress. When I first arrived, I was quite underweight for my age, but with patience and a slowly managed appetite, I have put on nearly a full kilogram over the last few months. Because of the rough condition I was found in, I had to have all of my teeth removed, which means I need to stay on a strict wet-food-only diet forever. I am currently eating Fancy Feast pâté and absolutely love it. Because my system is sensitive to diet changes, keeping my food consistent is important to keeping me healthy and happy.

My ideal forever home would be a house where I can share my space with another small cat who has an energy level like mine, giving us the perfect opportunity to play and chase each other during the day. I have overcome a lot of hurdles to get to where I am today, and now all I am missing is a dedicated family to talk to, play with, and snuggle every night!

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. I had all of my teeth removed due to the poor condition my gums and mouth were in.

Willie Nelson

Date of Birth: June 1, 2025

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Unknown, but we think I’d do well with slow intros
  • Dogs: Unknown, but we think I’d adjust with proper intros
  • Kids: Yes, as long as they are kind and gentle with me

Rescue Story: I was wandering around SE Edmonton in a community where a caretaker noticed me. After a long period of time, an owner was located but they did not want me back. CCE was then contacted to help me! I am hanging out at Pet Valu Ellerslie – come and visit me!

About Me: Howdy, I’m Willie Nelson!

I used to wander the streets, but I’ve decided life is much better with a warm bed, tasty meals, and a human to love.

I’m a goofy, curious guy who likes to know what’s going on at all times. If you’re cooking, cleaning, or just hanging out, there’s a good chance I’ll be right there making sure everything is up to my standards. I can be a little chatty too—especially if I’m feeling curious, a bit unsure, or it’s time for my favourite thing… wet food!

Speaking of favourites, nothing beats snuggles. I have a big, rumbling purr that’s always ready to go, and I’m a professional head-butter. My happiest place is curled up beside you—or even better, right on your lap.

I can be a little nervous when I first meet new people or when things move too quickly, but once I know I’m safe, my sweet personality shines. My foster helped me discover that humans can be pretty wonderful, and I’ve been winning hearts ever since.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will keep you company, make you smile with my goofy antics, and reward you with endless purrs and head boops, come and meet me at Pet Valu Ellerslie!

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped and partially vaccinated.

Miss Vickie Chip

Date of Birth: Approx 1-2 years old

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Unknown, I would likely do well after the proper introduction. I did great with my kittens!
  • Dogs: Unknown, I would likely do well with calm dogs
  • Kids: Yes, I am good with older, respectful kids. I’m easily startled by young, loud kids.

Rescue Story: I was found outside, pregnant and with no owner in sight. A kind person took me to ACCC where I gave birth immediately upon arrival. I was stressed and CCE stepped in to take me and my babies to find us the best homes. I am hanging out at Pet Valu West Henday – come and visit me!

About Me: Hey there! I’m the mama of the Chip family, with warm hues of orange and brown in my tabby fur. and striking hazel eyes. For a long time, my main job was being a dedicated mom, but now that my babies are all grown up, I am officially retiring from motherhood. I’ve spent so long taking care of everyone else, and now I am ready for a life where I finally get to be the baby.

Because I spent part of my life surviving outdoors, I’m still a gentle, sensitive soul who can be easily startled by loud noises or sudden, fast movements. If you approach me too quickly, my instinct is to run away. However, if you take a calm, gentle approach, you will find that I absolutely adore affection. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite thing in the world, and I will happily sprawl out right in front of you for endless belly pets. I have never shown an ounce of pet aggression, so you can keep the love coming. I also love scratches under the chin and a good brushing session to keep my coat looking gorgeous.

Since I’ve been busy raising my little ones, people usually only see my calm, nurturing side. But let me let you in on a little secret: when the babies are fast asleep, I love to pick up a toy, carry it over to my foster mama, and let out the tiniest little whimper to signal that I still like to play too. When a wand toy comes out, I am always ready to show off my fierce skills. The rest of my time is spent living very peacefully. I am quite content to spend my days lounging in warm sunbeams and looking out the window.

My foster mama is currently training me to be a lap cat, and I am very hopeful that I’ll get there one day with the right person. If you want to fast-track our friendship, the way to my heart is definitely through my stomach. I thoroughly enjoy Friskies and Fancy Feast wet food, I love Temptations and Churu treats, and I have been happily munching on Royal Canin dry kibble.

I am looking for a quiet, loving home where I can peacefully bloom and be pampered. Could that be with you?

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Georgie Sniffington

Date of Birth: January 2020

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: I’d prefer to be a solo king but would likely do ok with another kitty with proper introductions.
  • Dogs: I may do well with dogs after slow intros
  • Kids: Yes, I am good with gentle, respectful kids

Rescue Story: I was adopted out through EHS last year, unfortunately the adults in my home have developed severe allergies and now I need a new home. CCE is posting me as a courtesy to help find me the best home!

About Me:  Greetings, human. I’m Detective George Sniffington, feline investigator extraordinaire and owner of what may be the most impressive nose in the cat world. Preparing food downstairs? I’ll be there before you’ve even finished taking it out of the fridge. My specialty? Detecting chicken in any form, from any room, at any time!

At first glance, I may look like a rugged fellow with my blind eye, but underneath this tough exterior is a total sweetheart. Once I trust you, I absolutely adore affection. Rub my face, carry me like a baby, sling me over your shoulder while showering me with kisses—I’m happy with all of it! I especially enjoy enthusiastic butt scratches while standing at my scratching post. Give me really good pets and I might even start drooling a little. It’s embarrassing, but I just can’t help myself.

I won’t lie—I can be very shy when meeting new people or adjusting to a new home. Closets are my preferred safe spaces while I figure things out. I need a family that understands that trust takes time. But once you’ve earned it, you’ll have my whole heart. I’m incredibly loyal and love spending time with my people.

I’m a cat who thrives on routine. Around 10 PM every night, I’ll begin reminding everyone that bedtime is approaching. Between 10:30 and 11 PM, it’s time for my nightly mouse hunt! After I catch my toy prey, I expect praise and admiration for my excellent detective work. Recognition is important in my profession.

One of my favorite pastimes is sitting by a cracked-open window, sniffing all the exciting scents drifting in from outside. I also love having conversations with my humans. If you learn my signature “wa kowwwww” call and repeat it back to me, there’s a good chance I’ll come running to see you.

Because I’m sensitive and easily startled, I need a patient family willing to give me time to settle in. During periods of stress, I may have accidents outside the litter box while adjusting, despite being litter trained. Consistency, patience, and a calm environment help me feel secure.

I may do best as the only cat in the home. I previously lived with another cat and was initially very friendly, but was picked on by him. I have come around and am much less defensive than before, but would need slow introductions with another cat-friendly cat in a future home. I would do well with a gentle dog we think as well!

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you on a strict bedtime schedule, and love you with his whole heart once he feels safe, then I just might be the detective for you.

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. My right eye is scarred. Not to worry it does not bother me & the pressure and stain test were normal.

Adoption Fee: $100 – my fee is a donation to CCE

Marley Saki

Date of Birth: October 19, 2024

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Unknown; I have always been in a home without other cats
  • Dogs: Unknown, but I would probably prefer a home without dogs
  • Kids:  Yes, I lived with a small human before & was gentle!

Rescue Story: I was surrendered as sadly my owner developed severe allergies to me. Nothing was working, so CCE stepped up to help me find a new spot.

About Me: Hi. My name is Marley — fluffy grey tabby, part-time cuddle bug, full-time play expert.

I’m young enough to zoom, wise enough to nap like a professional. I’m not a shy girl, but I do like a little time to size up new humans. Give me a bit to warm up, and then I’m all in — chasing toys, showing off my moves, and generally being your entertainment for the evening.

Speaking of which… evenings are my time. Mornings? Those are for sleeping. Evenings? That’s when I come alive. Wand toys are my absolute favourite (seriously, bring one and we’ll be best friends), and I also love those toys that move on their own so I can practice my hunting skills.

I can be a tiny bit feisty sometimes, but it’s not personal — I just get excited and want to play! If I start going after your feet, it just means I need a proper toy to channel my energy. I promise I’m much more polite when I’ve had a good play session.

I do enjoy cuddles… on my terms. When I’m in the mood, I’m very sweet and affectionate. When I’m not, I’m happily doing my own thing. Independence is important, you know.

I haven’t met other animals before, so I’d probably prefer being your one and only for now — at least until I decide how I feel about sharing my kingdom. I do, however, live with a tiny human (a baby!), and I’ve been very gentle and kind, because I know they’re small and still figuring things out.

I eat Acana Homestead Harvest and I’ve recently been enjoying daily wet food — highly recommend you keep that part going.

If you’re patient, playful, and appreciate a cat who brings both energy and the occasional cozy moment, I think we’ll get along just fine!

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Toffee Crystallina

Date of Birth: March 24, 2024

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, I’m good with other cats given the proper introduction
  • Dogs: Unknown, I probably would not enjoy being around a dog as I frighten easily
  • Kids: Yes, I am good with older, respectful kids

Rescue Story: I was hanging outside for several years in a North Edmonton community. A kind neighbour was able to trap me and get me indoors right as winter rolled in and with time and patience, I have blossomed into a wonderful kitty that is ready for my forever home!

About Me: Hello there. My name is Toffee Crystallina, and I am a tabby gentleman looking for a quiet place to call my own. Since I spent some time living outdoors, I can be a little shy and easily startled by loud noises, but I am what you might call a lovebug in training. I like to maintain a bit of independence, but once I decide it is cuddle time, I will happily claim your lap for a nap. I am a very well-behaved housemate who stays off the counters and uses my scratching posts exactly as intended, though I do have one very important job: I must rearrange the area rugs every single day to ensure the floor layout is just right. When I am not busy with my interior decorating or watching the birds through the window, you might hear my special trilling meow letting you know that I am ready for a snack.

I am an expert at solo play and short power naps, but I do appreciate a feline friend who can keep up with my morning zoomies. I would thrive in a calm home, like a condo or a smaller house, where I can build a strong bond with one or two patient people. I am not a big fan of being picked up, but I can absolutely be won over with a good meal. I have a very healthy appetite and will eat just about anything put in front of me, though I sometimes get a little too excited and drool when I am happy. Because I came from the outdoors, I may have a tendency to over eat, so I need a human who can help keep my portions managed.

If you are looking for a gentle, polite companion who just needs a little time to show his true colors, I think we would get along tremendously.

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped and partially vaccinated

Denver Breakfast

Date of Birth: October 5, 2020

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Low/Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: I have FIV and should be the only cat in the home.
  • Dogs: Unknown, I may adjust with slow introductions
  • Kids: Older kids are great, but I get overwhelmed by too much high energy

Rescue story: I lived outside for years in SE Edmonton, and was in rough shape until a lovely colony caretaker reached out to CCE for help to get me back to my best self! I am doing great now and ready for my forever home.

About Me: Hi, I’m Denver!
Part cat, part weighted blanket, part clingy boyfriend who simply will not take a hint. I am the ultimate velcro cat—if you sit, I sit on you. If you lie down, I’m diving on top of you.
Personal space? Never heard of her.

I am outrageously affectionate, very committed to making sure both your hands are used for petting at all times (phones will be gently, but firmly removed), and letting you know I need more attention.

My hobbies include sleeping like a tiny human, playing with my favourite toys (and occasionally your ankles), and being your little spoon at night. I will be your shadow, your blanket, and your biggest fan. I have a soft, low-to-medium energy vibe with bursts of chaos, followed by long naps.

I am a FIV+ King, and I can live a very happy, full life, but I will need a dedicated human to stay on top of my health and care for any potential health complications. I also need to thrive as your one-and-only feline, soaking up all the love and giving it right back x100!

My ideal home is with someone who can be emotionally (and physically) attached to me, keep treats secured, and will love a cat who loves too much.

My food is important to me – I am a refined gentleman and am loyal to my Fancy Feast pâté and will politely decline other options. I am also very treat-motivated, so you’ve also got a built-in best friend for snacks!

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $100 – my fee is discounted to help me find my furrever home!

Oswald Song

Date of Birth: September 5, 2020

Sex: Male

Energy Levels: Low/Medium

Good with:
Cats: Yes, as long as they are cat-friendly I should do well with a play mate and friend!
Dogs:  Unknown, I’d likely be best in a dog-free home
Kids: Older kids may be ok, younger ones would be too unpredictable

Rescue Story: I was found at a rural property in Strathcona County. Since other cats have been abandoned here, it’s believed I was left intentionally. I was adopted out but was returned through no fault of my own. I am now ready for my furrever home!

About Me: Hi, I’m a soft-hearted, sensitive boy who just needed someone to show me the world is safe.

When I first came into foster care, I was very scared but I slowly worked up the courage to explore. Eye contact used to frighten me, so my foster human gave me space and stuck to a steady routine. That consistency helped me blossom.

Now I’m deeply affectionate — I just have my own language. I don’t like hands coming toward my face, but if you hold your hand low with the back facing me, I’ll happily walk right into it for pets. If you say “touch” before reaching for me, that helps too. I can still startle sometimes, but I’m very forgiving and settle quickly when things feel calm again.

My favorite thing in the world is stretching out on you while you’re lying down. That’s when I feel safest. After months of patience, I now jump up on my own for snuggles and give sweet chin and shin head bumps. I respond to slow blinks, will quietly chat once I know you, and I love keeping you company in the kitchen or bathroom.

Playtime before meals is part of my daily routine. I once feared the feather wand, but now I’ll leap and twist (a little clumsily!) to catch it. I also love ping pong balls, tunnels, catnip toys, and chasing games around my vertical scratching posts. I only scratch my trees — I’m a very polite gentleman.

I’m low-to-medium energy, litter box perfect, patient if meals run late, and not interested in human food. I can be picky — Fancy Feast pâté or grilled are my usual favorites, especially with a sprinkle of nutritional yeast or FortiFlora.

I’m shy with new people and need a few visits to feel brave. Sudden movements and loud homes aren’t for me, so I’d do best with experienced adults who can offer a quiet environment and consistent routine. I may enjoy a calm feline friend with the right match.

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Rikki Bellerive

Date of Birth: January 14, 2025

Sex: Female

Energy Levels: Medium

Good with:

Cats: Yes, I would prefer a slow intros but I like other cats very much!

Dogs: Unknown, I would need your help to make sure we go slow and safely

Kids: Unlikely, unless they are older & gentle with me.

Rescue Story: I was part of a north Edmonton colony whose caretakers called CCE when they saw some of the older females were pregnant. They scooped up the whole colony and I was pretty nervous, but CCE saw that I could be an inside-girl and took a chance on me. I am now looking for a patient, forever home!

About Me: Hello, my name is Rikki! I am a dangerously sweet girl with a nervous disposition.

Once I was a shrinking violet, now merely a striking wallflower. I won’t hear any nay saying about it, we’re all works in progress; own your flaws darlings, ‘lest they own you. Long story short, I’m shy and probably always will be. But that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to have fun!

I am an active and playful girl. I love to chase and pounce and I absolutely adore a string! I don’t mind playing by myself, but I would definitely enjoy a chance to play together. People make play-time so much more exciting! Left to my own devices I will happily play with a ball or a spring, and I usually make sure to collect them afterwards in my favorite corner.

I LOOOOOOVE being pet, and I have been known to hop up onto the bed for an evening cuddle session, but I can get a bit overwhelmed at times. Once I know you’re safe I promise I won’t run far. There’s a cuddlebug in me, I just know it, but I need your help in finding her.

I am from a colony so I’ve got plenty of cat experience and would love to have a playful friend in the home as long as they aren’t too pushy. I’m nervous by nature, so I have trouble standing up for myself if someone thinks they can push me around. I’m also a slow eater so I might need my bowl protected if your current cat might try to score a second helping. I could probably figure out life with a dog, with your support I know I can make it through anything. Respectful kids and I would get along famously.

I have no food restrictions and am not picky. A good quality wet and dry combo will work for me.

If you’re ready for a cat who will love you to the moon and back, I am ready to find my forever.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
