Beanie Baby & Slinky Sherbrooke

Date of Birth: August 18, 2024

Sex: Female (Beanie) & Male (Slinky)

Energy levels: Medium/High

Good with:

  • Cats: Unknown, we would likely do well with other cats given the proper introduction
  • Dogs: Unknwon, we could do well with dogs after a proper introduction
  • Kids: Yes, we are good with older, respectful kids

Rescue Story: We were born outside in a feral cat colony where a kind lady was helping care for us. CCE was contacted to try and help, and though we were a bit older, they took us in to socialize us. We got the vet care we need and settled into the indoor cat life – and we are not looking back!

About Us: Hey everyone! We are Beanie (the lady) and Slinky (the gentleman) — professional snack inspectors, part-time wrestlers, and full-time soulmates.

When you first meet us, we might act a little shy. New places and new humans can feel big and loud. We like to take a minute to observe from a safe little corner and make sure everything checks out. But once we decide you’re safe? Oh. You are in for it.

Beanie here — I’m the soft-hearted one. I warm up quietly, then suddenly I’m leaning into your hand for pets and curling up beside you like I’ve known you forever. I have a gentle way about me, but don’t be fooled… I can absolutely keep up with Slinky when it’s playtime.

Slinky reporting for duty — I may hang back at first, but once I trust you, I’m all in. I love affection, head scratches, and dramatic flops beside you. I also take my role as Beanie’s best friend very seriously. If she runs, I run. If she pounces, I pounce. We are a synchronized duo.

We’re kind of the perfect balance. We enjoy being loved on, but we’re also independent enough to lounge in our cat tree and recharge. Lap time? Yes, please. Playtime? Absolutely. Quiet companionship? That too.

Our dream home is one with a little patience in the beginning. Give us time to settle in, let us come to you at our pace, and we promise you’ll get to see the full, affectionate, silly, deeply bonded best-friend version of us. We’re currently eating wet food twice a day with some dry food in between!

We’re not just two cats. We’re a matched set. A tiny team. And we’re just waiting for our forever human to cheer us on!

Vetting: We are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $300 for the purrfect sister brother duo

Calypso Dusk

Date of Birth: February 2025 estimated

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Unknown, but I am young & should adjust with proper intros
  • Dogs: Yes, if they are gentle and cat-savvy, high-energy dogs are too much for me
  • Kids: Yes, I have done well with older, gentle kids. I hid from toddlers.

Rescue Story: I was found outside in Edmonton and brought to ACCC. When no owner was found, I was transferred to CCE to help find my furrever home. Come and visit me at Pet Valu Canterra!

About Me: Hi there, are you looking for a cat that is as sweet as pie? Well, this tortie girl is the one for you!

I may start off a little shy, but once I warm up, I am a charming and loving little girl. I have a soft purr and love to flop over and stretch out while getting all the best scratches. I will knead in the air, rub my face right into your palm, and look at you with the sweetest, endearing eyes.

I loved spending time in the cat tree at my foster home, and took a lot of good naps in the sunshine. I scratched it up real well, so I am definitely in need of a tall cat tree (or two, I wouldn’t complain!). I didn’t play too much while there, but I did enjoy cat nip toys.

My ideal home is one where I would get lots of cuddles and isn’t too busy. While I did okay meeting some of the resident cats in short doses, I mostly just observed and didn’t interact too much. I would also do well likely on my own, as long as my owner had plenty of time for me. Kids would be ok if they are older, but the very small ones likely have too much energy for me!

I looooove my wet food and was getting some kibble as well as wet food twice a day in foster care. I hope my future home can keep me on a diet where I get this daily.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and partially vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $200

Catrina Posada

Date of Birth: February 2025 estimated

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Unknown, but I am young and should do well with another kitty friend!
  • Dogs: Unknown, I should do well with dogs with a proper intro
  • Kids: Yes, I do good with gentle, respectful kids

Rescue Story: I was found outside in Edmonton and brought to ACCC. When no owner was found, I was transferred to CCE to help find my furrever home. Come and visit me at Pet Valu Millbourne!

About Me: Hi there, I’m Catrina and I am one sweet girl looking for a new home to call my own.

I am your typical loving cat in a lot of ways. I am cuddly, love pets, and enjoy getting my cat tube treats more than almost anything! I am told I have the softest fur of any cat the store staff have ever met.  I purr pretty quickly once I am getting attention and I like to head butt the store staff to show them how much I love them.

I’m not too wild energy wise but I do love playing with the wand toy when you catch me in my kitten-energy mode so I will still need some play time or a cat friend to play with in my future home. So far, dogs haven’t phased me much at the store so a dog friend would be ok, too!

I am currently eating kibble at the store with several (emphasis on several!) tube treats a day. We think I may be a little picky in my wet food selection, but we are trying to find one I love as wet food is so important for my long term kidney and urinary health.

Can I join your home? Come and visit me at Pet Valu Millbourne and I promise you will fall in love with my sweet, gentle and easy going disposition!

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and partially vaccinated

Grace & Aalin Ross

Date of Birth: August 1, 2021

Sex: Grace (white & grey) Female  & Aalin (black) Male

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, we are good with other cats with proper introductions
  • Dogs: Yes, with slow introductions we would adapt well to a dog
  • Kids: Yes, as long as they are gentle & kind, we are great with kids

Rescue Story: Originally we were found at just 3 weeks old outside. We were adopted out as a pair when were younger, however we were returned to CCE when our family had a change in life circumstances. We are now ready for adoption and a furrever family!

About Us: Hi! We’re Grace and Aalin, now called Bruce — a bonded brother-and-sister duo looking for a home big enough for both of our personalities (and all of our naps).

I’m Grace, the fluffy one — a seal lynx point beauty with luxurious long hair. Yes, I know I’m pretty. I accept compliments in the form of cuddles. I’m a professional lap cat and happiest when I’m draped across a human, soaking up attention. I’m patient, gentle, and very much a “people first” kind of girl.

But don’t let all the lounging fool you — after a solid day of beauty sleep, I get the zoomies! I love chasing a ball you throw or hunting a string toy like the fierce jungle cat I am. Sometimes Bruce and I race up and down the stairs just because we can. Afterward, I’ll either return to my rightful place on a lap… or perch on the tallest surface in the house to survey my kingdom.

I prefer wet food (it’s simply superior cuisine), though I’ll eat some dry too.  Also… if you leave bread unattended on the counter, I may consider it a gift. And yes, I occasionally chew plastic!

And I’m Bruce — the sleek black panther of the family. I might seem a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you’ll see my big, goofy personality come out. I LOVE to play. I’ll chase toys, wrestle them dramatically, and if I catch one? I proudly parade it around like I’ve just returned from a grand hunt. I do play a bit rough — with toys and sometimes with other cats — but Grace keeps me in line.

I’m currently working on my summer body and am on measured meals so I don’t overindulge or steal snacks. I need a monitored diet. I also enjoy a good cuddle session — I’ll curl up beside you on the couch or occasionally claim your lap. Soft beds, warm blankets, and catnip are some of my greatest joys. Oh — and I make excellent funny faces. It’s a talent.

I should mention: I can play rough, so very small or timid cats might find me a bit much. I’m not trying to be a bully — I just get enthusiastic. I also tend to go hard on my toys, especially the fragile catnip ones.

Together, we’re the perfect balance. Could we be your new best friends?

Vetting: We are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $300 for the purrfect pair!

Sausage Breakfast

Date of Birth: September 24, 2024

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: I should do well with another cat-friendly friend as I came from a colony with other cats
  • Dogs: Unknown, I may do well with calm, gentle with dogs after a proper introduction
  • Kids: Yes, I do good with gentle, respectful kids

Rescue Story: I was living outside in South Edmonton in a managed colony. I got pregnant and was brought indoors to have my kittens safely. I am now ready for my furrever home!

About Me: Hi! I’m Sausage Breakfast. But my friends call me Miss Saucy.

I know, I know — it’s a big name for a soft, fluffy little lady. What can I say? I contain multitudes.

I’m a quiet girl with a very gentle heart. When I meet new people or find myself somewhere unfamiliar, I like to take my time. I promise I’m not being dramatic — I just like to make sure the vibes are right.

But oh… when I feel safe? That’s when the real me comes out.

I adore soft chin scratches and gentle back rubs. If you’re calm and patient, I’ll stay nearby — just quietly keeping you company while you read, watch TV, or sip your morning coffee. I’m not loud about my love, but it’s there. Steady. Sweet. Loyal.

Every now and then, I do get the zoomies. Little surprise bursts of joy that remind you there’s a playful spark under all this fluff. Window watching is another favorite pastime — I could sit on a cozy perch and supervise the outside world for hours.

Important note: I am a chicken connoisseur. Chicken wet food? Yes please. Chicken kibble? Absolutely. Fish-flavored anything? I will politely decline. A girl has standards!

I would be happiest in a calm home with patient humans who understand that shy girls just need a little time to bloom. If you give me time, kindness, and love, I promise to give you something really special in return: a peaceful, devoted little shadow who fills your home with quiet joy.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $200

Oswald Song

Date of Birth: September 5, 2020

Sex: Male

Energy Levels: Low/Medium

Good with:
Cats: Yes, as long as they are cat-friendly I should do well with a play mate and friend!
Dogs:  Unknown, I’d likely be best in a dog-free home
Kids: Older kids may be ok, younger ones would be too unpredictable

Rescue Story: I was found at a rural property in Strathcona County. Since other cats have been abandoned here, it’s believed I was left intentionally. I was adopted out but was returned through no fault of my own. I am now ready for my furrever home!

About Me: Hi, I’m a soft-hearted, sensitive boy who just needed someone to show me the world is safe.

When I first came into foster care, I was very scared but I slowly worked up the courage to explore. Eye contact used to frighten me, so my foster human gave me space and stuck to a steady routine. That consistency helped me blossom.

Now I’m deeply affectionate — I just have my own language. I don’t like hands coming toward my face, but if you hold your hand low with the back facing me, I’ll happily walk right into it for pets. If you say “touch” before reaching for me, that helps too. I can still startle sometimes, but I’m very forgiving and settle quickly when things feel calm again.

My favorite thing in the world is stretching out on you while you’re lying down. That’s when I feel safest. After months of patience, I now jump up on my own for snuggles and give sweet chin and shin head bumps. I respond to slow blinks, will quietly chat once I know you, and I love keeping you company in the kitchen or bathroom.

Playtime before meals is part of my daily routine. I once feared the feather wand, but now I’ll leap and twist (a little clumsily!) to catch it. I also love ping pong balls, tunnels, catnip toys, and chasing games around my vertical scratching posts. I only scratch my trees — I’m a very polite gentleman.

I’m low-to-medium energy, litter box perfect, patient if meals run late, and not interested in human food. I can be picky — Fancy Feast pâté or grilled are my usual favorites, especially with a sprinkle of nutritional yeast or FortiFlora.

I’m shy with new people and need a few visits to feel brave. Sudden movements and loud homes aren’t for me, so I’d do best with experienced adults who can offer a quiet environment and consistent routine. I may enjoy a calm feline friend with the right match.

Vetting: I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Rikki Bellerive

Date of Birth: January 14, 2025

Sex: Female

Energy Levels: Medium

Good with:

Cats: Yes, I would prefer a slow intros but I like other cats very much!

Dogs: Unknown, I would need your help to make sure we go slow and safely

Kids: Unlikely, unless they are older & gentle with me.

Rescue Story: I was part of a north Edmonton colony whose caretakers called CCE when they saw some of the older females were pregnant. They scooped up the whole colony and I was pretty nervous, but CCE saw that I could be an inside-girl and took a chance on me. I am now looking for a patient, forever home!

About Me: My name is Rikki, I am an incredibly sweet girl with a nervous disposition.

Once I was a shrinking violet, who’s now becoming a striking wallflower! I won’t hear any nay saying about it, we’re all works in progress; own your flaws darlings, ‘lest they own you. Long story short, I’m shy and probably always will be. But that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to have fun!

I am an active and playful girl. I love to chase and pounce and I absolutely adore a string! I don’t mind playing by myself, but I would definitely enjoy a chance to play together. People make play-time so much more exciting! Left to my own devices, I will happily play with a ball or a spring, and I usually make sure to collect them afterwards in my favorite corner.

Sadly I’m not yet much of a cuddler, but I do very much enjoy being pet. Just please don’t approach too fast! You’re so big and I’m so small, but humans do give the best scratches.

I am from a colony so I’ve got plenty of cat experience and would love to have a playful friend in the home, as long as they aren’t too pushy. I’m nervous by nature, so I have trouble standing up for myself if someone thinks they can push me around. I’m also a slow eater so I might need my bowl protected if your current cat likes to score a second helping.

I have no food restrictions and am not picky. A good quality wet and dry combo will work for me.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Adoption Fee: $100 – my fee has been discounted to help me find my furever home!

Penny & Raj Theory

2Date of Birth: November 30, 2023

Sex: Female (Penny) & Male (Raj)

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: We are great with each other but have not lived with other cats
  • Dogs: Unknown, but we would need a calm, cat-savvy dog only
  • Kids: Unknown, we would likely do well with gentle, respectful kids

Rescue Story: We were originally adopted out as a bonded pair in 2024, however our family was moving out of the country and returned us to CCE. We are still looking for our furrever home, could it be you?

About Us: Hi! We’re Raj and Penny, a bonded brother-and-sister pair looking for our forever home together 💛

I’m Raj, the affectionate one. I’ll greet you at the door, rub against your legs, and follow you around for pets and attention. I’m very long (I love a big stretch), enjoy belly rubs, and take my toy-hunting duties seriously—once I catch something, it’s going straight to a secret hiding spot. I can be a little shy with big changes, but once I’m settled, I’m a calm, well-mannered guy who offers cuddles when you’ve earned them.

And I’m Penny, the shy but very sweet one. New people can be scary, but once I trust you, I’ll stick close—waiting outside doors, supervising bathroom visits, and curling up on your lap or chest. I don’t love long pets, but a gentle scratch behind the ears is just right. I’m curious, love standing on my back legs to sniff everything, and my favorite part of the day is special blanket time, where I get to cocoon myself in warmth.

We don’t have experience with dogs or kids—Penny prefers things calm, and Raj may be open with slow introductions. We might be shy at first, but give us a little time and patience and we promise to love you furr-ever (especially if tube treats are involved!).

We are currently eating a grain free kibble and need to remain on a scheduled diet to ensure we maintain or svelt figures.  Our foster mama is trying our wet food flavours to see if she can help us lose a little weight as well!

Vetting: We are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $250 for the purrfect pair!

Sasha Bellerive

Date of Birth: September 14, 2024

Sex: Female

Energy Levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, with a proper introduction I could do quite well with other cats
  • Dogs: Unknown, but with care and time I think we would be okay
  • Kids: I am a gentle girl and with gentle kids I think I think we would do famously

Rescue Story:  I was part of a local Edmonton Colony whose caretakers called CCE when they saw that I was pregnant. CCE volunteers swooped in and made sure that me and my new kittens were warm, fed, and safe. They have all headed off to new homes and now it’s finally my turn.

About Me:  With striking colours and a personality to match, I,  Sasha, take the stage!

They called me a Queen when I came in, and with my striking colours and regal personality I can certainly see why. I am beautiful, I know it, and I will not be shy about letting you know it as well. I am not content to be worshiped from afar, I LOVE to be pet and will reward you with a melodic purr to let you know you’ve done a good job.

I confess, I am not much of a lapcat, but I am working on it. My foster has introduced me to being picked up and cuddled. There’s not much of that when you grow up outside, but I am warming to the idea. When it is time to be put back down I can become a squirmy girl, but I am always careful to be gentle.

Where my younger side really shines is in play. I love to run, jump, and pounce! I think we’ll have a ton of fun together. In particular, I enjoy a tug of war if you’ve got a strong arm and a string tough enough!

Growing up in the colony, I am used to being around and interacting with other cats. With a proper introduction I could do well with other cats, but I would also be okay with a monopoly on your love and time.

Normally I am a fan of the finer things, but crystals in the urine are no fun. I am on a urinary diet both wet and dry from the vet, and will need to stay on this diet long term.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Adoption Fee: $100 – my fee has been discounted to help me find my furrever home!

Toast & Waffles Breakfast

Date of Birth: September 18, 2024

Sex: Female – Toast (brown & white)
Male – Waffles (grey and white)

Energy Levels: Medium: we’re pretty chill and laid-back, but we absolutely love a good play session!

Good With:

  • Cats: Yes! Playmates & friendly felines make us very happy.
  • Dogs: Unknown, but gentle dogs & slow intros we may be ok.
  • Kids: Unknown, but we’d do best with older, quieter kids likely.

Rescue Story: We were born outside in a large cat colony in southeast Edmonton. A kind woman began socializing us, giving us treats, gentle interactions, and eventually bringing us indoors when the weather grew cold. We’ve been inseparable since the day we were born – we are a bonded pair and must stay together!

About Us: Hi there! We’re Toast and Waffles, a bonded brother–sister duo with gentle hearts and sweet, quirky personalities.

I’m Toast, the quieter half of our little team. I can be shy with new humans, but once I feel safe, I enjoy soft voices and gentle pets. My favourite thing in the world? High perches. If there’s a cat tree or shelf to climb, I’ll be there supervising the household. I’m a thoughtful, soft player and I adore other cats; I cuddle them, follow them around, and feel braver with feline friends nearby. I’m not really a lap cat (yet!), but I’ll be your peaceful companion from a cozy distance.

And I’m Waffles, Toast’s chatty brother with a very unique voice. I don’t meow like a typical cat, I have my own little language and I always have something to say! I’m curious, playful, and full of purrsonality. Toys? Love them. Playing with Toast? Even better. You can pick me up and place me on your lap, and once I’m fully comfortable in my forever home, I’ll likely become a part-time snuggler. I love exploring, playing, and being close to my people (and my sister!).

Together, we’re a gentle, easygoing pair with medium energy, a love of toys, and a huge appreciation for other cats. We cuddle with our foster cat friends and would thrive in a home with more feline buddies as long as we stay together. We haven’t met dogs yet, but calm, cat-friendly ones might be okay with proper introductions.

We’re not picky eaters! We enjoy both kibble and wet food. Toast gets especially excited for wet-food time, so we need a home that can continue this, please.

We’ve come a long way from our outdoor beginnings, and we’re ready for the next step: a loving forever home where we can grow, play, perch, chat, and snuggle together!

If you’re looking for a pair that brings sweetness, companionship, and quiet charm into your home, we might be the perfect duo for you.

Vetting: We are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed & fully vaccinated.

Adoption Fee: $250 for the both of us
