Date of Birth: July 3, 2018 (Pepper) & November 28, 2020 (Peanut)

Sex: Male (Pepper) & Female (Peanut)

Energy levels: Medium – we love to play but also have a chill side!

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, would likely do well with proper introduction
  • Dogs: Would likely do well with proper introduction
  • Kids: Older children may be ok but no small kids, sorry!

Rescue Story: We were originally TNR’d by CCE several years ago. Our caretaker decided to no longer care for us and we were about to become barn cats but CCE was contacted first and we were both brought in to ensure we stayed indoors. We have been together for several years & are ready for the sweet, indoor life!

About Us:  Hi, I’m Pepper, and soon I’ll introduce you to my sister Peanut! We’ve been together for years—through thick and thin—and we’re not going anywhere without each other. Peanut needs me, she’s my little sister, my shadow, and I help her feel safe in this big, scary world.

I’m outgoing, affectionate, and a total lovebug. I live for attention. If I think you’ve been ignoring me too long (say, five minutes?), I’ll gently tap your hand, shoulder, or even climb up to remind you: it’s petting time. Sometimes I perch on shoulders like a parrot—yep, that’s my thing. I’m also known for making biscuits on your back when you’re relaxing. It’s my love language.

I’ll happily chase soft balls around the room or bunny-kick the heck out of a small stuffed toy, but when playtime’s done? I’m 100% your lap cat. I’m the definition of cuddly, affectionate, and demanding—in the cutest way, of course. Oh, and full disclosure? I have a bit of a catnip problem. I love the stuff. A lot. You’ve been warned.

I’m what they call an enthusiastic digger when it comes to the litter box, so I do best with one that has nice high sides to keep things tidy (I mean, I try my best, but my paws get a little carried away).

Now for my sister, Peanut… Peanut is the quiet type, but don’t let her shyness fool you. She has a soft, gentle spirit and just needs time to know she’s safe. When she feels secure (thanks to me being nearby), she’ll come up and politely ask for back rubs—her favorite. She’s not a lap cat, and she probably won’t be the first to greet guests. But if you’re patient and give her the calm, gentle space she craves, she’ll quietly work her way into your heart.

Peanut came into rescue in rough shape—her long fur was painfully matted, and she had to be shaved down. But even at the groomer, she was a total angel. Her fur is growing back beautifully now, but she’ll need regular brushing to keep her coat healthy and mat-free.

Our ideal home would be one Peanut would be comfortable in, since she is a bit more shy. We’re respectful of other cats, including seniors. We don’t currently live with dogs, but with proper introductions, we’d likely be okay. Just give us time and patience. Since small kids would scare Peanut, we would prefer a home with older, gentle kids or none at all, please.

As for food, we’re easy—Peanut and I both enjoy wet and dry food (BFF and Go! brand are our faves), but we’re not picky eaters.

If you’re looking for a perfect pair—with one loving, playful lap cat and one gentle soul who will quietly keep you company—we’re your cats. We balance each other out in the most beautiful way.

Vetting: We are neutered/spayed, dewormed, microchipped & fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $100 for this beautiful pair of panthers!

Rosie Dee

Date of Birth: May 31, 2017

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: No, I would like to be the only cat in the house please
  • Dogs: No, I would like a home without dogs as well
  • Kids: Unknown, but older & cat savvy kids may be ok

Rescue Story: Rosie was surrendered by her owner after she could no longer care for or afford her. As Rosie had a difficult time adjusting from the move, she has been with CCE for several months while she became comfortable. Finally, Miss Rosie is ready for her furrever home!

About Me:  Hi, I’m Rosie and you may have heard I am a sensitive soul. I spent over 5 years in my first home before being abandoned, and have now been in my foster home for over a year. My journey has made me cautious, but alo incredibly loyal to the person I choose to trust.

I take my time to warm up, and I am not shy about setting boundaries. I will give a gentle growl when I don’t want to be touched – but you can’t say I’m not a clear communicator! I just ask for some patience and respect… and I promise I will pay it back once I’ve settled.

I am mostly an independent girl, but I love being near my person. I’ll sleep snuggled besides you at night, stretch out on your desk while you work from home and keep watch over the household from my favourite perch on top of the fridge.

My ideal home is a peaceful, pet-free home where I can open up more and truly thrive. I am not a fan of my  ‘foster brothers’ in my current home and would prefer to be the only pet (trust me, my foster mama has tried to get me to like the boys but it’s just not the life for me!).

I am currently eating kibble & wet food and am getting both daily. I would do well on a scheduled diet so I don’t gain too much weight.

If you’re someone who understands that good things take time, please fill out an application to come and meet me, I promise that I’ll be your best friend after some time 🙂

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped & fully vaccinated

Raiden & Reiko Oak

Date of Birth: July 5, 2023

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Medium – we are still young

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, but we would also do ok as the only cats in the home
  • Dogs: Unknown, but we may be okay with a calm, cat-savvy dog.
  • Kids: Yes, but only older kids who know how to be gentle for us please.

Rescue Story: We were born outdoors in a large feral cat colony in SE Edmonton. A kind man was caring for us as part of the colony. CCE was contacted for assistance and felt we were young enough to be trapped and brought indoors. We have been doing great in foster care and we are ready to find our furever home!

About Us: Hi Everyone. We are the two cutest brothers you have ever met. We couldn’t be more opposite…which means we have so much to offer a loving family.

Hi there, I am Reiko. You can tell me apart from my brother because my fur is long and fluffy and his is short. I’m so fluffy that my nickname is “Fluffernutter!”

The most important thing to remember about me is that I am very confident and friendly….eventually. I need some time to warm up, but once do, I even like to be carried around like a little baby. I also really like to play with my favorite humans as well. I just want to be close to you. So close that once in a while I will gently nibble your fingers or toes—I just LOVE you so much, I can’t help myself! But to tell the truth, I like to nibble everything: cat food and treats, pasta, bread, tofu – you name it! Overall, I am a very curious, playful and goofy boy! Now let my brother tell you about himself…

Hi humans, Raiden here. I am a cat of mystery so I go by many names: BabyBoy, Thumper, and Butterball, just to name a few.

Okay, I have a secret to tell you…I am shy. There’s my secret. I can’t help it. We were brought indoors when we were a little older you see…as a result, I’m just a very timid boy. I really rely on my big brother Reiko to help me feel brave and I sometimes cry when I don’t know where he is. He’s my partner in crime and my best friend in this world and as long as I get to go where he goes, I will be just fine. It’s not that I don’t like people – I do. I actually crave being loved, but I have a hard time accepting it. I just get scared very easily and I need to go to a home that is willing to be patient and loving with me while I settle in and learn that I am safe. I may never be much for cuddling anyone, but once I warm up to you I will turn on a very loud purrr motor when you pet my head and scratch behind my ears.

The thing I love most in the world is to play with you, and that’s the fastest way to get me out of my shell. Anything attached to a string that you can chase around with me, I am interested in!

We would be an ideal fit for anyone who has a calm and quiet home, lots of patience and understanding, time for interactive play, and is committed to keeping us together.

We are currently eating a canned wet food diet, supplemented with grain-free dry kibble and we would need to continue this in our new home. We are also a little on the husky side, so our humans would have to be committed to helping us watch our weight.

Vetting: We are neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $100 – our fee has been discounted!
