Rescue Story: I was a neighborhood stray for many months, living off wildlife and dumpsters. My kind foster family took me in, because they knew I couldn’t survive the harsh winter. While not much is known about my past, my foster parents believe I was previously a house cat, since I quickly settled down in the comfort of a warm home. Now, I’m looking for a home once more… but this time, a forever one!
About Me: Hello, I’m Inky Thom, a dashing gentleman with a sleek, jet-black coat. Life hasn’t always been easy for me—I spent some time as a stray, living off my wits in the neighborhood. But now that I’ve been welcomed into the warmth of a loving home, I’m showing just how much of a charming and well-mannered companion I can be!
I’m an affectionate and curious kitty who loves to follow my humans around like a little puppy. Wherever you go, I’ll be there, watching with my curious eyes and soft, sweet voice. I can be a bit chatty, but my foster parents say my voice is gentle and sweet!
I’m a big fan of playtime, especially games that let me chase and pounce—it brings out my inner hunter (a little reminder of my outdoor days). I also adore cheek and head scratches—they’re my absolute favorites. When it comes to being held, I’m all in! Show me a good window view while you hold me, and I’m one happy boy.
I’d love a home where I can spend time with my humans and watch the world go by from a cozy window perch. My curiosity and love for company make me the perfect cat for someone who enjoys a companion that’s always nearby.
I’m still figuring out the whole “lap cat” thing—I haven’t quite mastered it yet, but I’m open to learning if that’s what you’d like. I’m also polite and stick to scratching my designated scratch pads.
I’ve met a friendly dog and have adjusted quite well, as long as I have some time for adjustments I would do well with a dog. I have also done well with cats given a proper introduction ad best of all… I’m great with strangers, which shows how adaptable I can be.
I’m not fussy when it comes to food—I can have both kibble and wet food. All I ask is that you can keep me on at least half wet, or ideally fully wet diet in my forever home!
Oh, one more thing… I might sneak out the door if given the chance, but fortunately, on the occasions I’ve done this, I allowed my foster parents to pick me up and bring me inside. With special care to keep doors secure, I’ll be perfectly content indoors.
