- Dogs: Yes, as long as they leave me be. I do great with the small dog I met in foster care
- Kids: Yes, as long as they are gentle and kind. My foster home had older children and I did well with them!
Rescue Story: I was owned, not spayed and had kittens. My owner was also pregnant and needed to rehome our whole family because she couldn’t afford us. CCE was contacted and we were all brought into care to find our happily ever after. I am currently hanging out at Pet Valu West Henday, come and visit me!
About Me: Hi there, I’m Cauliflower and while I may look grumpy in my pictures… I promise I am not! It’s just my face. In reality, I am a wonderful little companion that is relatively low maintenance.
I am pretty independent and love to lay in bed or look out the window watching birds. My foster mama says these are my two favourite places in the house! I don’t have a ton of energy, but I do get bursts of energy and will have some zoomies through the house.
I am happy to be in the same room as you, relaxing near by on the couch or at the end of the bed and watch tv with you. I love to be pet and given affection, but I am not overly keen with being picked up (though I will tolerate it). I will choose to come lay on your lap sometimes, just depends on my mood.
I am a sweet girl, and would do well with most other people and animals but would also do well on a home on my own. I would only request the other cats in the home to be relaxed as well, we can co-exist quite easily. I do well with kids, as long as they are kind with me and the teenagers in my foster home and I got along great. The resident dog mostly ignored me, which was my preference, so we did well too!
I have only a couple of requests – first, outlets for scratching. I love cardboard on the ground and vertical cat trees. My foster mom says I “love to get my scratch on” so ideally there would be a few outlets for me. Second, I need a special diet. I had some crystals when I came into care in my urine so now I am on a strict diet of vet urinary wet and dry food. I am getting schedule fed and really love this food!
