Sasha Bellerive

Date of Birth: September 14, 2024

Sex: Female

Energy Levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, with a proper introduction I could do quite well with other cats
  • Dogs: Unknown, but with care and time I think we would be okay
  • Kids: I am a gentle girl and with gentle kids I think I think we would do famously

Rescue Story:  I was part of a local Edmonton Colony whose caretakers called CCE when they saw that I was pregnant. CCE volunteers swooped in and made sure that me and my new kittens were warm, fed, and safe. They have all headed off to new homes and now it’s finally my turn.

About Me:  With striking colours and a personality to match, I,  Sasha, take the stage!

They called me a Queen when I came in, and with my striking colours and regal personality I can certainly see why. I am beautiful, I know it, and I will not be shy about letting you know it as well. I am not content to be worshiped from afar, I LOVE to be pet and will reward you with a melodic purr to let you know you’ve done a good job.

I confess, I am not much of a lapcat, but I am working on it. My foster has introduced me to being picked up and cuddled. There’s not much of that when you grow up outside, but I am warming to the idea. When it is time to be put back down I can become a squirmy girl, but I am always careful to be gentle.

Where my younger side really shines is in play. I love to run, jump, and pounce! I think we’ll have a ton of fun together. In particular, I enjoy a tug of war if you’ve got a strong arm and a string tough enough!

Growing up in the colony, I am used to being around and interacting with other cats. With a proper introduction I could do well with other cats, but I would also be okay with a monopoly on your love and time.

Normally I am a fan of the finer things, but crystals in the urine are no fun. I am on a urinary diet both wet and dry from the vet, and will need to stay on this diet long term.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Adoption Fee: $100 – my fee has been discounted to help me find my furrever home!

Toast & Waffles Breakfast

Date of Birth: September 18, 2024

Sex: Female – Toast (brown & white)
Male – Waffles (grey and white)

Energy Levels: Medium: we’re pretty chill and laid-back, but we absolutely love a good play session!

Good With:

  • Cats: Yes! Playmates & friendly felines make us very happy.
  • Dogs: Unknown, but gentle dogs & slow intros we may be ok.
  • Kids: Unknown, but we’d do best with older, quieter kids likely.

Rescue Story: We were born outside in a large cat colony in southeast Edmonton. A kind woman began socializing us, giving us treats, gentle interactions, and eventually bringing us indoors when the weather grew cold. We’ve been inseparable since the day we were born – we are a bonded pair and must stay together!

About Us: Hi there! We’re Toast and Waffles, a bonded brother–sister duo with gentle hearts and sweet, quirky personalities.

I’m Toast, the quieter half of our little team. I can be shy with new humans, but once I feel safe, I enjoy soft voices and gentle pets. My favourite thing in the world? High perches. If there’s a cat tree or shelf to climb, I’ll be there supervising the household. I’m a thoughtful, soft player and I adore other cats; I cuddle them, follow them around, and feel braver with feline friends nearby. I’m not really a lap cat (yet!), but I’ll be your peaceful companion from a cozy distance.

And I’m Waffles, Toast’s chatty brother with a very unique voice. I don’t meow like a typical cat, I have my own little language and I always have something to say! I’m curious, playful, and full of purrsonality. Toys? Love them. Playing with Toast? Even better. You can pick me up and place me on your lap, and once I’m fully comfortable in my forever home, I’ll likely become a part-time snuggler. I love exploring, playing, and being close to my people (and my sister!).

Together, we’re a gentle, easygoing pair with medium energy, a love of toys, and a huge appreciation for other cats. We cuddle with our foster cat friends and would thrive in a home with more feline buddies as long as we stay together. We haven’t met dogs yet, but calm, cat-friendly ones might be okay with proper introductions.

We’re not picky eaters! We enjoy both kibble and wet food. Toast gets especially excited for wet-food time, so we need a home that can continue this, please.

We’ve come a long way from our outdoor beginnings, and we’re ready for the next step: a loving forever home where we can grow, play, perch, chat, and snuggle together!

If you’re looking for a pair that brings sweetness, companionship, and quiet charm into your home, we might be the perfect duo for you.

Vetting: We are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed & fully vaccinated.

Adoption Fee: $250 for the both of us

Ivy Jack

75Date of Birth: March 12, 2025

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium/High

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, I need another energetic, young cat to play with
  • Dogs: Unknown, we should do well with slow introductions
  • Kids: Yes, as long as they are kind and gentle with me.

Rescue Story:  I was born in CCE after our pregnant mama & her brother were surrendered by our owner. We had a slow start but are finally ready for adoption. I am hanging out at Pet Valu Kingsway – come and visit me!

About Me: Hi, I’m Ivy—a sweet, social, and slightly show-offy girl who loves nothing more than making new friends. I’m what my foster calls a “classic mojito cat”—I’m always the first one to greet you at the door, tail up, ready to say hello and soak up the attention. I love being petted, I love being admired, and yes… I know I’m adorable.

I have lots of playful energy, and can get very into playing games with other kitties. At the end of a busy day of play, I’m more than happy to curl up in your lap and soak up some snuggles. I will also sneak in some snuggles with the other cats around, I just love love!

I’m very adaptable and handle change well, but I do have a bit of a sensitive tummy, so it would be ideal if I can stick on my current diet of Lovables or Fancy Feast pate wet food & Ziwi Peak kibble.

I get along great with cats, and I could live with a respectful dog. I’m also fantastic with kids. Just one note—my playful energy means I’d be happiest with another young cat or kitten to keep me company, not a senior cat I might pester. I cannot be adopted alone into a home with other cats, sorry!

If you’re looking for a friendly, confident, and loving companion who will be your greeter, your playmate, and your snuggle buddy, then I think you and I will be a perfect match.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped & fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $75 –  Arsheen donated $150 to help cover my fee and find me a furrever home

Pepper & Peanut Lago

Date of Birth: July 3, 2018 (Pepper) & November 28, 2020 (Peanut)

Sex: Male (Pepper) & Female (Peanut)

Energy levels: Medium – we love to play but also have a chill side!

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, would likely do well with proper introduction
  • Dogs: Would likely do well with proper introduction
  • Kids: Older children may be ok but no small kids, sorry!

Rescue Story: We were originally TNR’d by CCE several years ago. Our caretaker decided to no longer care for us and we were about to become barn cats but CCE was contacted first and we were both brought in to ensure we stayed indoors. We have been together for several years & are ready for the sweet, indoor life!

About Us:  Hi, I’m Pepper, and soon I’ll introduce you to my sister Peanut! We’ve been together for years—through thick and thin—and we’re not going anywhere without each other. Peanut needs me, she’s my little sister, my shadow, and I help her feel safe in this big, scary world.

I’m outgoing, affectionate, and a total lovebug. I live for attention. If I think you’ve been ignoring me too long (say, five minutes?), I’ll gently tap your hand, shoulder, or even climb up to remind you: it’s petting time. Sometimes I perch on shoulders like a parrot—yep, that’s my thing. I’m also known for making biscuits on your back when you’re relaxing. It’s my love language.

I’ll happily chase soft balls around the room or bunny-kick the heck out of a small stuffed toy, but when playtime’s done? I’m 100% your lap cat. I’m the definition of cuddly, affectionate, and demanding—in the cutest way, of course. Oh, and full disclosure? I have a bit of a catnip problem. I love the stuff. A lot. You’ve been warned.

I’m what they call an enthusiastic digger when it comes to the litter box, so I do best with one that has nice high sides to keep things tidy (I mean, I try my best, but my paws get a little carried away).

Now for my sister, Peanut… Peanut is the quiet type, but don’t let her shyness fool you. She has a soft, gentle spirit and just needs time to know she’s safe. When she feels secure (thanks to me being nearby), she’ll come up and politely ask for back rubs—her favorite. She’s not a lap cat, and she probably won’t be the first to greet guests. But if you’re patient and give her the calm, gentle space she craves, she’ll quietly work her way into your heart.

Peanut came into rescue in rough shape—her long fur was painfully matted, and she had to be shaved down. But even at the groomer, she was a total angel. Her fur is growing back beautifully now, but she’ll need regular brushing to keep her coat healthy and mat-free.

Our ideal home would be one Peanut would be comfortable in, since she is a bit more shy. We’re respectful of other cats, including seniors. We don’t currently live with dogs, but with proper introductions, we’d likely be okay. Just give us time and patience. Since small kids would scare Peanut, we would prefer a home with older, gentle kids or none at all, please.

As for food, we’re easy—Peanut and I both enjoy wet and dry food (BFF and Go! brand are our faves), but we’re not picky eaters.

If you’re looking for a perfect pair—with one loving, playful lap cat and one gentle soul who will quietly keep you company—we’re your cats. We balance each other out in the most beautiful way.

Vetting: We are neutered/spayed, dewormed, microchipped & fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $100 for this beautiful pair of panthers!

Rosie Dee

Date of Birth: May 31, 2017

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Medium

Good with:

  • Cats: No, I would like to be the only cat in the house please
  • Dogs: No, I would like a home without dogs as well
  • Kids: Unknown, but older & cat savvy kids may be ok

Rescue Story: Rosie was surrendered by her owner after she could no longer care for or afford her. As Rosie had a difficult time adjusting from the move, she has been with CCE for several months while she became comfortable. Finally, Miss Rosie is ready for her furrever home!

About Me:  Hi, I’m Rosie and you may have heard I am a sensitive soul. I spent over 5 years in my first home before being abandoned, and have now been in my foster home for over a year. My journey has made me cautious, but alo incredibly loyal to the person I choose to trust.

I take my time to warm up, and I am not shy about setting boundaries. I will give a gentle growl when I don’t want to be touched – but you can’t say I’m not a clear communicator! I just ask for some patience and respect… and I promise I will pay it back once I’ve settled.

I am mostly an independent girl, but I love being near my person. I’ll sleep snuggled besides you at night, stretch out on your desk while you work from home and keep watch over the household from my favourite perch on top of the fridge.

My ideal home is a peaceful, pet-free home where I can open up more and truly thrive. I am not a fan of my  ‘foster brothers’ in my current home and would prefer to be the only pet (trust me, my foster mama has tried to get me to like the boys but it’s just not the life for me!).

I am currently eating kibble & wet food and am getting both daily. I would do well on a scheduled diet so I don’t gain too much weight.

If you’re someone who understands that good things take time, please fill out an application to come and meet me, I promise that I’ll be your best friend after some time 🙂

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped & fully vaccinated

Raiden & Reiko Oak

Date of Birth: July 5, 2023

Sex: Male

Energy levels: Medium – we are still young

Good with:

  • Cats: Yes, but we would also do ok as the only cats in the home
  • Dogs: Unknown, but we may be okay with a calm, cat-savvy dog.
  • Kids: Yes, but only older kids who know how to be gentle for us please.

Rescue Story: We were born outdoors in a large feral cat colony in SE Edmonton. A kind man was caring for us as part of the colony. CCE was contacted for assistance and felt we were young enough to be trapped and brought indoors. We have been doing great in foster care and we are ready to find our furever home!

About Us: Hi Everyone. We are the two cutest brothers you have ever met. We couldn’t be more opposite…which means we have so much to offer a loving family.

Hi there, I am Reiko. You can tell me apart from my brother because my fur is long and fluffy and his is short. I’m so fluffy that my nickname is “Fluffernutter!”

The most important thing to remember about me is that I am very confident and friendly….eventually. I need some time to warm up, but once do, I even like to be carried around like a little baby. I also really like to play with my favorite humans as well. I just want to be close to you. So close that once in a while I will gently nibble your fingers or toes—I just LOVE you so much, I can’t help myself! But to tell the truth, I like to nibble everything: cat food and treats, pasta, bread, tofu – you name it! Overall, I am a very curious, playful and goofy boy! Now let my brother tell you about himself…

Hi humans, Raiden here. I am a cat of mystery so I go by many names: BabyBoy, Thumper, and Butterball, just to name a few.

Okay, I have a secret to tell you…I am shy. There’s my secret. I can’t help it. We were brought indoors when we were a little older you see…as a result, I’m just a very timid boy. I really rely on my big brother Reiko to help me feel brave and I sometimes cry when I don’t know where he is. He’s my partner in crime and my best friend in this world and as long as I get to go where he goes, I will be just fine. It’s not that I don’t like people – I do. I actually crave being loved, but I have a hard time accepting it. I just get scared very easily and I need to go to a home that is willing to be patient and loving with me while I settle in and learn that I am safe. I may never be much for cuddling anyone, but once I warm up to you I will turn on a very loud purrr motor when you pet my head and scratch behind my ears.

The thing I love most in the world is to play with you, and that’s the fastest way to get me out of my shell. Anything attached to a string that you can chase around with me, I am interested in!

We would be an ideal fit for anyone who has a calm and quiet home, lots of patience and understanding, time for interactive play, and is committed to keeping us together.

We are currently eating a canned wet food diet, supplemented with grain-free dry kibble and we would need to continue this in our new home. We are also a little on the husky side, so our humans would have to be committed to helping us watch our weight.

Vetting: We are neutered, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated

Adoption Fee: $100 – our fee has been discounted!
