Rescue Story: Sadly, Cuddles was surrendered by her owners as they could no longer afford a cat. Cuddles came into care over weight and covered in matts. CCE had been helping this owner for a period of time prior to intake but once the cat was unable to be cared for, they stepped in to help her find the best home possible.
About Me: Hi there, my name is Cuddles and while I may not be the mostly cuddly cat out there at first, I just need time to settle in and show you my true colours!
I am shy and timid at first, but once I get comfortable I am quite social on my own terms and my foster dad says I am becoming a lap cat now that I trust him. I play fetch with a hair tie and will bring it back to you each time, waiting for you to play with me and throw the toy again. Since I am a bit overweight, this really helps me with my weight loss journey.
Sudden movements or noises still scare me, so my ideal home would be one that is a bit on the quiet side and will have some patience for me while I learn to trust you. I have never lived with another cat, but my foster thinks with slow introductions I’d do well with another cat. Kiddos would be a bit much for me, so ideally I’d be in a home without small children.
Since I am a bit on the chubby side, I am getting wet food and scheduled meals. I like Go Solutions chicken (no pate, please) or anything that is chicken/beef flavour. I love wet food so please keep me on this if you can.
