Rescue Story: Rosie was surrendered by her owner after she could no longer care for or afford her. As Rosie had a difficult time adjusting from the move, she has been with CCE for several months while she became comfortable. Finally, Miss Rosie is ready for her furrever home!
About Me: Hi, I’m Rosie and you may have heard I am a sensitive soul. You see, I want love sometimes… and sometimes I don’t want to be touched. BUT, I enjoy being part of the action and I am never far away from my foster mama.
I greet my foster mama at the door for a belly scratch and to say hi, and then I am off to my own thing. I enjoy being at the highest point in the room – for safety, you see – so that may be a tall cat tree, or your fridge… whatever works! I spend a lot of time on the fridge watching the other cats (who I dislike) and napping. At bedtime, I cuddle in my own bed and I am happy there.
I quite dislike the ‘foster brothers’ I have in my current home and would prefer to be the only fur queen in my future palace. In terms of affection, I do like love on my own terms but you should know I do not like my tail being touched most of the time, or my back, but when I am cuddly you can pet me anywhere! Some say I am a bit ‘moody’ but I think I am just particular.
My ideal home is a family or an individual that can respect my boundaries and give me attention when I crave it on my terms. I would not do well with small kids, as they may not understand my body language. I will need a patient home as I take time to adjust and really am leery of more changes in my life. I am a low maintenance girly once I adjust and I will slowly come around with treats and time!
I am currently eating kibble & wet food and am getting both daily. I would do well on a scheduled diet so I don’t gain too much weight. I am ready for a home to call my own and one that will keep me safe for the rest of my days… could that be you?
