Rescue Story: My sister and I were born outside in a trailer park in the Edmonton area. We turned up inside of a trailer stuck in the walls so CCE was contacted to help save us. My sister and I took time to adjust, but now we are ready for our furever homes at Cheery Cat – come and visit me!
About Me: Hi there, my name is Speckle and do you know why? You see, one of my specks doesn’t work as good as the other. The vet says that my eye was likely injured as a small baby before I came into care or I was born this way, but it doesn’t bother me at all.
I am a bit shy at first, but promise, it’s all for show. Once I am settled and know my people well, I am actually a sweet little girl that likes to be in the action, wherever it may be. I have been known to even jump in the laundry basket if its full of fuzzy blankets, whoops!
One thing you should know about me is I LOVE other cats! Doesn’t matter the age, I am just so so in love with cats. I like to rub right up against them and follow them wherever they go. My favourite cat, of course, is my little sister, Static. She is a bit more shy than me, but we play really well together and cuddle together, too.
If I can’t be adopted with Static, I would like to go to a home with another confident cat that wants a friend and will mother me. I love to be cleaned and will even fake nurse if they let me. My foster mama had cats of all ages and I was respectful of the senior cats and my favourite resident cat was the youngest one. He played with me the most.
My ideal home is just about any home out there that will be patient with me while U adjust because I promise, I make a nice movie partner in the evenings. I purr away the second I get pets or another cat comes to snuggle with me.
I LOVE my food and Fancy Feast pate is my favourite thing. I run up the stairs to my room and meow the whole time until my foster mama puts it down. I am also eating some Tiki Cat kibble. I am hoping my furrever home will keep me on wet food daily!
Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.
