Rescue Story: I was once owned and was living in Maskwacis, however, I was surrendered by my previous owners. CCE was contacted to help and thankfully, they were able to bring me into foster care. I was then adopted but sadly I have been surrendered again. I didn’t do anything bad, I swear. They just had a cat already who was not able to get used to me. I find myself looking for another furever home and I just know in my heart, the third time will be the charm. Could it be with you?
About Me: Calling all hoomans….it’s me Chex and I really need to find my furever family. Are you looking for a good boy? Well, that’s me! I am very sweet and laid-back. My foster family tells me I am mild-tempered…and it’s true! I even like other cats so I don’t mind if you have one already, I am good at sharing. I am kind of a big boy and I was bothering the cat in my previous home (I wasn’t being mean, I only wanted to play). So if I am going to a home with a cat already, it would need to be with a cat young enough to be okay with my playing. I am okay solo though so it’s okay if you don’t have a cat too. I will just be your number one guy. You see? Easy-going and laid-back is my style!
What else can I tell you about me? I am very handsome…you probably noticed this already. I have plush, brown, tabby fur and I am told my eyes are very striking. When I am not occupied with being the most handsome guy around, I love to spend my days on neighbourhood watch….you will often find me perched by a window just looking at all the birdies outside. I like to be next to my human as well. I am still getting used to being picked up, and mostly prefer to be on the ground but I will come up and ask for some love. I always find ways to show affection. I love tall cat trees and am great at showing everyone how they should be used. I like meal times too…who doesn’t, hehe.
I would do well in most homes and my foster family thinks I would even be a fit for someone who has never owned a cat before because I am so easy to care for. My ideal home would be one where I can zoom around the house, enjoy great snacks and sleep next to my favourite human on the couch or in bed at night. I am an easy guy to please and I am oh so loveable. What do you say? Could I join your family?
I am currently eating a grain-free dry and wet food diet and I would need to continue this in my new home.
