Rescue Story: I was found outside in North Edmonton and brought to Animal Care & Control. Unfortunately, I was not eligible for transfer as I was shut down and also had some bad teeth. CCE took me in, fixed me up and now I am living my best indoor life… all I need is a forever family!
About Me: Hi everyone, I am Tango Mango. My beautiful orange fur landed me this wonderful name, but I’m more than just a handsome face, you’ll see!
I am an extremely sweet and gentle cat. My foster dad calls me low maintenance and mild mannered, because I am just the best behaved boy out there. I started off quite timid; I lacked a lot of confidence after being outside on my own for at least a year. Luckily, with time and patience, I have come around a lot and am a great companion.
During the day, I am a love from afar kind of cat. I sort of do my own thing and can even found snoozing under the bed. In the evening, when you’re relaxing on the couch, I love nothing more than chin scratches, kneading and purring on you to let you know I feel loved and safe.
My ideal home is a low energy environment where likely I am the only pet. My confidence still needs to grow and I would love a home where I am the star of the show and I can make lots of biscuits in the evening as you watch TV. I would love a good scratching post as well, please.
I need a diet of only wet food, as you see, I have almost no teeth and cannot chew kibble. I also have one bad habit… I like to get into any kind of food I can! You’ll have to ensure you do not leave any food (even bagged food) on the counters, as I will climb up there and eat it.

I had several teeth removed and only have my lower canines and a handful of molars left. My tongue sometimes sticks out and it is now one of the cutest things about me!
