Rescue Story: We were born outdoors to a feral mama, and CCE was contacted when the deck we were living under was for sale and the realtor was trying to get rid of us! All of us, including our mama, we’re brought into care!
About Us: Why hello there! We are Almond and Pepita Trail (Our foster mama calls us Ollie and Pepi), the two sweetest little cats you ever did meet! We were found outside by Community Cats as 4 month old kittens and have been with our foster mama ever since.
Initially we were very scared little kittens as we had not really been socialized to the human way of life. Our foster mama took things very slow with us until she gained our trust. Now we cannot stand to be apart from her and our furry siblings! We are still nervous to meet new people, but feed us a couple of times and you will quickly earn our undying love!
We definitely crave affection and will force you to pet us even if you do not bend over (trust me, we will jump up to reach your hand!) We also have a very playful side and will play with wand toys for hours. We get along well with both dogs and cats, given proper introductions of course. We would likely do well with older kids, but younger children are still a little too unpredictable to us, so we are not as comfortable around them. Our ideal home would be one that is quiet and calm, with just a few humans to give us the love and playtime we crave (We also would appreciate any other fur siblings)!
I, Ollie (the flame point), am a very playful outgoing little guy that is always the first to investigate any new environment. I just can’t get enough of discovering new things and meeting new people! Initially I am a little nervous, but once I get to know you, it is all play all day.
My brother Pepi, is a little more of a nervous gentleman who would prefer a luxurious lap to lay upon than rough housing. Of course he likes to play with me (as I will force him to), but he would much rather receive pets and be held by his trusted human than run around exploring. What can I say, he is a gentle soul with the sweetest smile that melts our foster mom’s heart.
Even though we do not look similar at all, we are two peas in a pod and become very upset when we are separated. We will continue to cry until we find each other again, so we need to find out forever home together. And besides, with the two of us, you will get double the love!
We are both very clean in our litter boxes and eat any food that is presented to us, we absolutely LOVE food! We are currently eating a grain-free dry and wet food diet and we would love to continue with this diet in our forever home!
