Brixx & Drill Bit

Age: 8 years (Brixx) & 11 years old (Drillbit)

Sex: female

Energy levels: low, we are quiet girls most of the time!

Good with:

  • cats: yes! Brixxie is quite playful and plays with and cleans the foster kittens. Drillbit gives head butts to the resident adult cats in search for affection.
  • dogs: no, they are scary
  • kids: older & pet-saavy kids only

Rescue Story:  We have a sad story but a happy ending! We lived in an abandoned and condemned house with a colony of 12 other cats. Luckily CCE rescued all of us and keeps going back to the house for any additional street cat tenants.

About Us: Brixx has become very comfortable in her foster home and has become a bit vocal as she has settled in. She has the cutests mews and we believe most of the time she meoows for attention now! While she doesn’t love to be picked up, she does love pets when she’s on the cat tree or her enclosure.  Both of these girls give headbutts when their wet food meals are being prepared, so that’s when the foster lady works on picking Brixxie up for 1 second longer every day. Brixx still freezes when she gets picked up but does tolerate a few seconds in the air or being snuggled against a chest.

Even though she is 7, Brixx is still quite the playful soul and loves all of her toys: catnip toys, automatic spinning toys, wand toys, and of course, spider plants 🪴. She also loves the kittens in her foster home & would do well with another young cat to play with. She also would be quite content if it was just her and her sister, as long as she has someone to play with her!

Our sweet girl Drill Bit loves to snuggle on laps and will search you out in the living room to get some pets and cuddles! She LOVES being touched and is extremely soft! This little lady has quite the purr-machine. The perfect weighted blanket is happy to cuddle for more than 30-mins at a time as long as you dont cough!

Loud noises such as TV’s or fans are still a bit scary for us but we are learning they are not our foes. DB is lazy most of the time & plays a little bit with her sister, Brixxie. She also has a favourite catnip toy that she plays with outside of her room. Once she knows you she loves snuggling with you, but she is a bit shy of strangers still.

They are both most confident in the foster room but are exploring the house everyday and allowing more and more touches outside of their sanctuary room. We would love a quiet home with a sanctuary room or safe space in our furrever home to help us adjust.

Vetting: We are fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped & spayed.

Bitts & Brixx had most (or all!) of their teeth pulled. Brixx suffered from stomatitis in late 2021 and as a result these two are eating a non-poultry grain free dry and wet food. Since they have few teeth, they eat more wet food than dry.

Adoption Fee: by donation – we would love to find them a home where we can provide ongoing vet support should they require it but their daily needs are taken care by their forever home. Please message us for more information on these girls!
