Beck Hansen

Date of Birth: August 8, 2020

Sex: Female

Energy levels: Low-medium

Good with:

  • Cats: No, I’d prefer a home without other cats
  • Dogs: Unknown, I’ve never met a dog yet! With slow introductions, possibly.
  • Kids: Yes, older kids only please.

Rescue Story: My previous owner contacted CCE as I was having seizures and she could not afford a vet visit. CCE agreed to help her and after the vet appt, she decided she did not want me anymore, despite the rescues help. Of course, CCE took me in and got me the care I needed. Now I’m ready for my forever home!

About Me: Are you my new best friend? If you are looking for your kitty best friend, then we are a match made in heaven! I want to curl up with you at night and chatter at you in the morning with my special language of chirps and trills. I like to sit with you while you’re reading or on the computer – well, really, I like to be wherever you are! My other favorite places are a sunny window and any sink. I hope you’ll run the water in the sink for me, that weird stream of water is so fun! And I’ve heard that I have the softest fur to pet, just like bunny fur.

I don’t like other cats – I am currently rooming with 5 other cats in my foster home and even though they invite me to play or cuddle with them, I want no part of it. I growl at them to tell them that I’m looking for a HUMAN best friend. I might be persuaded to get along with an elderly cat, but I’m not sure. I am a very brave kitty as I watch the construction humans and their loud machines through the window, when every other cat in my foster house has run and hid. But let it be known that I’m VERY picky about my food: I only eat IAMS kibble, and only on a schedule because I am still losing weight. I’m so choosy about my food that I don’t even like tuna! And my funniest quirk of all: I love to eat my kibble in the sink!

I can’t ever-never-ever go outside, not because I’m scared – I’m the best fly hunter you’ll ever see – but because I’m epileptic. I might have a seizure somewhere dangerous, like near a coyote or on a road! Fortunately, I haven’t had any seizures in the safe, quiet indoors since I’ve been on my medicine, which I take twice a day on a regular schedule. I overheard that I will be on medicine for the rest of my life and will have to get bloodwork done once a year to make sure the medicine is the right dosage. And guess what: I don’t mind taking a pill! Oh, and don’t worry about your furniture if you give me a bunch of things I’m supposed to scratch. And, best of all, I’m okay with you clipping my claws regularly.

I hope YOU are my best friend. I want to cuddle with you and chatter at you. I will be good about taking my pills because I want to live a long, happy life with you.

Vetting: I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Adoption Fee: $200
