Taz & Cleo Quimby

Age: Approx. 8 years old

Sex: Male (Taz) & Female (Cleo)

Energy levels: Low but still playful!

Good with:

  • cats: Yes, we do okay with the other cats in our foster home and just need a proper introduction.
  • dogs: Yes, given the proper introductions and respect we would do fine with dogs that are lower energy.
  • kids: Yes, we love the kids in our foster home and would do just fine with other calm, cat-savvy kids.

Rescue Story: We came into care in the Spring when our previous owner could no take care of us. Since we came into care together and we were already bonded, we need to stay together. We are hoping to turn things around and find a new furever home with enough love for both of us.

About Us: Hi friends! Taz and Cleo here! We are a pair of opposites both in colour and size, but we are bonded and love each other a lot. We are slightly older kitties, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t a fun time! Cleo here! I am the small, dainty one. My black and white fur is so soft and I just love being pet and loved on. I am not a huge fan of being picked up, but I will curl up on your lap or snuggle in next to you. I am slightly more laid back in terms of playtime than my brother Taz, but I do like small toys I can carry around in my mouth. I will often bring you my toys as presents.

I love laying in cat houses or any soft surface I can find. I also enjoy a little bit of the outdoors, through the catio that my foster mom has. At the end of the day, I’ll curl up at the foot of the bed and I stay there all night! Taz too! No 2am parties from us!  I’m also a fairly quiet girl. I’ll chirp and chat with you sometimes, but I’m mostly silent. I am eating a grain free dry and wet food. I prefer pates over gravy wet foods, but otherwise I’m not very picky. My only other requirement is that Taz doesn’t get into my food! Speaking of Taz, let’s hear about him!

Hello, I’m Taz, the big orange teddy bear kitty. I am so soft and I love my tummy rubs. I also like to play, especially with wand toys and lasers! My foster mom likes to pick me up and carry me around, and I don’t have any complaints. Especially if its to go towards food. Boy do I love my food. I love to follow my foster mom and dad all over. Anywhere you go, I’ll be sure to find a comfy spot to hang out and be close to you. I will just look at you and give you little meows while you chat with me. People are just my favourite (after food of course!) And like Cleo, I sleep at the foot of the bed, all night long!

Now, about that food… I’ve got a couple conditions that mean I’ve got to be careful. I have urinary concerns, which basically just means I’m prone to blockages if I eat the wrong food. I also have diabetes. Apparently, my pancreas forgot how to do its job, so I need insulin twice a day. My forever family should have a consistent schedule so that I can eat at the same time every day, twice a day, and get my insulin shot. Its very easy to give me my insulin, and my foster mom can show you how it’s done. I am eating a special food that my vet said is safe for both of these conditions, and as long as we stick with that, and I get my insulin, I’m good to go! I promise it’s not too hard to take care of me and guess what? I am worth it, I am just so sweet and loving. I know the right family will come along for my sister and I.

Vetting: We are neutered/spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed & microchipped.
