Rescue Story: We are from a large colony of cats living in SE Edmonton. CCE has been working hard to help the colony and trap those of us who are suited for an indoor life. My brother and I were trapped together and were able to enter foster care. We have been doing just great and we can’t wait to find our furever homes.
About Us: Hi! I’m Kai…let me tell you about myself first. I am a little bit of a shy kitten and feel safest when I’m next to my big brother. Since I am a little shy, I most enjoy being around people who are calm and quiet, just like me! My favourite thing is for you to sit next to me and give me pets, without trying to pick me up. I hope you understand…I really prefer to keep my paws on the ground but I do so love your pets and it won’t take much to hear me purr.
Another favourite activity of mine is to watch my brother play. When I think you’re not paying attention to me I will play too. I like to jump up on stuff and find places to hide. I’m very agile and would even love a little nibble of your plants if you have any. Oops, what can I say? I hear it’s important to have a balanced diet. Speaking of eating…,I like my own bowl of wet food because I prefer to savour it (whereas my brother gobbles his up very fast and then sometimes tries to eat mine!).
Hey there! I’m Kano, and my foster mom says I’m the floofiest, sweetest boy she’s ever met. I may only have one eye, but trust me, nothing gets past me! I am very observant and intelligent, and I always look out for my little brother. Even though I’m usually pretty quiet and very independent, I will cry when I can’t see him. I take care of us, and keep us both well groomed (so we are always handsome). I absolutely love to play and explore. If I’m not doing those two things, then I will flop down on your lap and lay on my back for some good ol’ fashioned belly rubs. Being petted is just the best and I will purr with delight when you find the right spot.
We are the very best friends that ever did live, so we would need to be adopted together. We would likely be okay in most any home, it’s just important for us to be with each other! We are currently eating a grain-free dry and wet food diet and would need to continue this in our new home. Pssst…it’s me Kai…I would also like a place to eat separately from Kano since he eats fast and then steals from me. Can we join your family? Since we are so different from each other, we sure have a lot to bring to the table between the pair of us.
