Rescue Story: Cotton was found in someone’s furnace room. They suspected he had been in there for a week without food. He was skin and bones, full of mats & had frost bite damage on his ears, nose & paw pads. A kind lady helped me out, fostered me and contacted CCE for help. Since then, life’s been good! I am now ready for my furever home.
About Me: I have been through a rough time but now that I’m feeling better, I have found my voice – and boy do I have a lot to say! I am one chatty boy and I like to talk with my foster mama about her day, the weather, what’s for dinner… you name it, I am up for conversation! I hope you can appreciate my purr-sonality and are willing to chat with me.
I love food, and eating is probably my favourite thing to do. I will eat anything (watch your plates) but my foster mama hopes this changes as I have more food security long term. I love to chase treats and have a ball dispenser that helps keep me enriched and happy.
After food, my favourite thing is LOVE! I may require a bit of patience at the start in a new home, but once I adjust and trust you, I will give lots of head butts, pets and kisses. Once I get a lot of attention I will settle down for a snuggle as well. I am a big sweetie and have made great connections with my foster mama and the small kid who plays with me and feeds me.
My ideal home is a quiet one with patience that will allow me to adapt to a new home. I am still recovering from my time outdoors, but once I am settled, I am the biggest sweetie around and I need a home that wants a vocal kitty that loves connecting with their family. Work from home adults would be ideal, as then I can get some snuggles in during the day! I am a bit stressed by the resident cat, so a home without other cats is likely best for me. Small dogs have been ok.
Because I am so food motivated, I need a scheduled diet or I will gorge and get to be chubby. I am getting wet food daily & kibble as well. I would need a home that will commit to this. I promise, I am so worth it!
